Film & Media
We make films that center people—not just programs. Our approach is grounded in ethical storytelling and ongoing, informed consent. We ask the hard questions before we ever hit record: Why do you want to make this film now? Should you even be making it? Who needs to see it? Who should speak? And once it's made, how do we get it in front of the right people to actually do something?
The Art of Recovery
Seeking understanding of the clinical proof for creative art therapy
Creative Forces, National Endowment for the Arts
The Tampa V.A. in Florida is a world leader in creative art therapies, (among many other things) and provides an incredible service for veterans. We went behind the clinical scenes to see how therapists use dance, visual art, and music to support veterans living with chronic pain, PTSD, and brain injuries. The science is real. So is the transformation when veterans have access to these treatments.
From Drills to Dance
Following the journey of veterans using movement to heal from war
Creative Forces, National Endowment for the Arts
We were commissioned to tell the story of a Marine veteran who founded a dance company to help fellow vets process trauma through movement. We followed participants through a 15-week workshop series in New York state that culminated in a powerful performance aboard an aircraft carrier, where we captured the emotional scenes of the performers and their loved ones in the audience, as they shared their thoughts and feelings through dance.
A Path Forward with Art
Working with a veteran community anchor organization in Seattle
Creative Forces, National Endowment for the Arts
We travelled around the Seattle area visiting homes and studios building relationships and making friends with veterans; treating their stories with the dignity and integrity they deserve. We also interviewed the dedicated staff at Path with Art—a beloved community anchor who serves veterans, as they have served- using creative arts to build connection, reduce isolation, and restore a sense of purpose.
For the Love of Radical Giving
A podcast miniseries deconstructing philanthropy and celebrating giving
We produced a GIA Reader podcast series that reimagines philanthropy as an act of love. Tom handled concept development, interview curation, production, writing, sound design, and built a powerful dissemination plan to keep the conversation going.

Publications
We love slow comms—a thoughtful, trust-first approach. Heightened scrutiny on foundations and non-profits makes it important to talk to your people where they are, safely. We help you say the right thing, at the right time, to the right people; using formats that work in the moment we are in; think: zines, print, film, podcasts, long-form, in-person. We think taking the time to intentionally build relationships instead of broadcasting content will become increasingly important.
Reimagined Philanthropy: A Roadmap to a more Just world
Expert interviews, a huge data set, and clear copy
Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors
RPA wanted a writer with sector savvy and a few bold ideas. We led interviews with subject matter experts, conducted research, and collaborated closely with staff to draft a provocative guide for rethinking philanthropic portfolios.

Gift as You'd Like to be Gifted
Printed reports challenging funders to do better
The Waterers
We partnered with these radical funders to create two reports 3 years apart that offer a call to philanthropy to do better. Through vivid case studies and calls to action, the reports spotlight BIPOC and queer community leaders who are redefining what funding can look like, and drove new funding commitments to help this group continue to thrive

A Giving Circle Zine
The nineties called and they want their zine back
Vital Little Plans & Philanthropy Together
We translated the Giving Circle concept by designing a fun, readable zine about the artist giving circle Vital Little Plans; a bitesize format that nods to the past while engaging new audiences.

Web & Design
We collaborate with design and web development experts in our extended collective to create digital assets that are beautiful, functional, and rooted in your identity. Every project starts with deep listening: What do you need this asset to do? What does your audience need from it? Why are we doing this now? We don’t think a website or a campaign can solve all an organization’s problems, so expect hardball questions about what’s necessary and what isn’t.
National Farm to School Network
Free school meals for every kid—
our full service campaign
We developed a graphic identity and campaign for a national push to provide free school meals for every child. Our work included messaging strategy, research, focus groups, and coalition-based collaboration.

Appalachian Rekindling Project
A functional beautiful website, with embedded land tax calculator
ARP needed a simple, elegant website for a powerful vision: an intertribal Indigenous center in central Appalachia. We also created a land tax calculator so supporters could determine meaningful, personalized donations.

Waymakers Collective
From finding a name to building a website and brand identity
We co-created a joyful, grounded visual identity for this arts funding initiative—managing many voices and perspectives along the way. Deliverables included naming, brand development, copywriting, and a website launch strategy.
